Service architecture
- Zone records include their type, name, value and TTL
- Record updates and zone publication can be separate operations
- DNSSEC requires a coordinated signing and delegation procedure
Operating boundaries
- Propagation is affected by resolver caching and TTLs
- GeoDNS and automatic failover are not implied by basic authoritative DNS
- Incorrect records can interrupt web or mail traffic
Deployment & support
Segal provides the branded service experience and coordinates configuration, support and commercial scope. The infrastructure service is supplied through OVHcloud; provider eligibility and applicable service terms must be confirmed before activation.
